Jesus’ Resurrection Impacts Lives!

by Mark Jappe - February 13, 2010

Easter is upon us, the day that all Christianity hinges upon.  Paul said it this way, “The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that he was buried; that he was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says; that he presented himself alive to Peter, then to his closest followers, and later to more than five hundred of his followers all at the same time. “ (The Message, 1 Corinthians 15:3-6a) We want to make this truth, the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection and it’s impact for all time, the number one priority at Gateway.  So on Easter Sunday, April 4, we will have a delicious breakfast, great music and a sermon with the Headline news, “Jesus Is Alive! Many Eye Witnesses!”  As you come, remember to park further, sit closer, come on time, pray and bring a friend.

On Sunday, April 11, Pastor Sam William’s will launch his new sermon series, for the next five weeks, “If you, your friends, parents, spouse, or kids come with some serious baggage, help is on the way!  Scripture can lighten the load for those of us who are caught between expectations and reality in our relationships.”

Beginning Sunday, April 18th, I will be leading the Master Class discussion for the next four weeks, 9:00 – 10:00 am in the Gateway Bistro.  We will take time to explore the Scripture and application from Pastor Sam’s message of the previous week.  During our first session, April 18th we’ll discover how God can be involved with “Repacking My Personal Baggage.” It will lighten our loads!  Bring your “baggage,” Bibles and a heart for learning.
