There have been some exciting changes at the end of the hall, home of Gateway's junior high ministry, FUEL. Yes, the name, the look, the sound-- just about everything-- has been overhauled for the fall, getting us ready to race into a new year.
An already fantastic pit crew of Anna, Karen, Sarah, Dean, and Dennis has been joined by David, Jason, Jenny, Jolie, Shantara, Stephen, and Tedd to build into the lives of Gateway's awesome 7th and 8th graders. We love these students, and they have been willing and ready to lean into any curve we send them-- and it's been a gas so far. With a full worship band, we pull out everything from the most animated, bouncing-off-the-walls worship in Christian music to some of the same deep and spiritual stuff from Sunday mornings, J-Walk, and Break.
Our game team challenges students individually and in teams to build community and often tie into our current series or message. Adult leaders as well are pitted against each other all in the name of fun. Whatever the series we study, we pull it straight from God's Word and complement the day's message with everything from music, video, small groups, brainstorms, service, journaling-- whatever we believe God would have us do to hit the point home with our students.
FUEL also has events at least monthly, so be sure to check www.gatewayyouth.com to see who-what-where-when-and why of all that we're up to. We just returned from a jam-packed day at Magic Mountain and are gearing up for our November and December events, which will be a blast.
All that to say, we encourage and ask that you invite, invite, invite ANY and ALL junior high students and their families to check out Gateway on Sunday mornings. God is doing awesome things in our student ministries, and you have an opportunity to reach people that we'll never meet or have a chance to minister to without you! So let's buckle up and put the pedal to the metal in doing God's work!
in Christ alone,
