"The Continentals" Arrive at Gateway!
I had the recent opportunity to enjoy the sounds and sites of The Continentals in concert. A contemporary production featuring high-energy music, movement, and media, the concert exceeded my expectations.
The show began with the group coming out on a beautifully back dropped stage, dressed in vibrant attire--ready to perform! And perform they did. The evening consisted of modern day hits such as "Voice of Truth" by Casting Crowns. We were also privileged to hear The Continentals rendition of Josh Groban's recent classic "You Raise Me Up."
Along with beautiful singing, The Continentals included creative chorography. Each song incorporated movements to emphasize biblical elements. The most important part of the evening was when these elements were tied together and the gospel was presented to the audience.
Advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through the performing arts was the core of this concert. Every person who attended the concert was also encouraged to take action by sponsoring a child as a presentation on Compassion International concluded the evening.
