Although the job of Ministry Coordinator normally requires preparing a daily schedule, I find that on a day-to-day basis, schedules help, but are not ultimately realistic. On any given weekday, I may plan a day of paperwork, phone calls, and letter writing; however, the reality of working at a church might bring about several unexpected surprises.

Church life is often unpredictable. The office staff has to be prepared to do everything from feeding the homeless who arrive at the church doors hungry and in need of God’s love, to counseling strangers who call the church longing for answers and in search of hope.

As the Ministry Coordinator at Gateway Church, a lot of things cross my desk. I spend much of an average day, planning, scheduling, and otherwise organizing Gateway events and activities. Every so often, I am privy to some information that I get really excited about and want everyone to know. So, I decided to take a moment to pass some of that info along.

Thanksgiving Celebration

First of all, our Children’s ministry will be having a Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday, November 21st during the 9:00am and 10:45 services. Each child (preschool-6th grade) will have an opportunity to make a special Thanksgiving snack and craft during Sunday School. Don’t miss out on the fun!

"Let it Rain" Dessert

“Let it Rain” will be coming to an end soon, and on November 21st, we will be celebrating the many blessings that God has poured down on our homes and church throughout this time. Please come join us at 6:00pm as we share with each other how God has worked in our lives. A delicious dessert will be served! I hope to see you there!

NEW Pictorial Directory

Have you looked through our current Gateway Church pictorial directory lately? If you’re like me, you’ve noticed that the pictures are quite outdated. Some of the teenagers shown with acne are now grown up and married! Plus, there are many more members of the Gateway that have joined since the last directory was created. So, we are going to be taking pictures for a brand new pictorial directory. The dates for pictures are as follows: January 19-22, January 27-29. Start thinking now of a time and date that might work for you, and stay tuned for the opportunity to sign up to get your picture taken. SMILE!
