Here, you will find new serving opportunities. We are continually in need of willing bodies with hearts to help others and serve God. As the opportunities to serve arise, they will be posted on this page.
If you are interested in serving in a particular ministry, we would love for you to contact the ministry leader for information on how to begin to serve. Check out our ministries today, and begin praying about where God is leading you.
One-to-One Mentoring & Marriage Mentoring
We have an exciting new program from Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott that will train mentors in the area of individual & marriage mentoring. If you are interested in this new training program that will be offered from now till summer, please let us hear from YOU! Food Pantry
Few people know how much food the church hands out on a daily basis to those in need. Matthew 10:42 says, "And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward." We never want to turn anyone away who is in need of simple nourishment.
We are always accepting food donations. From spaghetti sauce and noodles, to jelly, to canned meats, to cereal--we accept any non-perishable food items that you might have. Cleaning Crew
If you would like to bless Gateway tremendously, please consider being willing to help clean the church. With the enormous amount of activities that the church has taking place throughout each and every week, you can imagine that it needs to be cleaned quite regularly. We have been blessed with humble servants who have so willingly cleaned the church for so long. However, we would like to relieve a bit of the pressure by spreading out the duties to more volunteers. Building and Maintenance
Are you available to help make occasional repairs around the church? It seems like there are always odd jobs that need to be taken care of. J-Walk (High School)
Our high school ministry is in need of people who can provide snacks and drinks (for about 40-60 youth) on Thursday nights. They are looking for one-month commitments (only 4 nights) for those willing to serve. If you are interested, please contact Russell Flannery at (619) 920-8588 or rflanner01@yahoo.com. Thank you!
J-Walk is also looking for volunteers with a heart for high school students to come to our Thursday night ministry simply to have conversations and develop relationships with those in attendance. Email jwalkhsm@cox.net for more information.
