Tina Flannery

It has been almost 10 years since God called me to “retire” from teaching middle school and go into full-time ministry. I packed my little Toyota Tercel and left the Rocky Mountains for sunny San Diego. What a blessing! I was able to attend seminary where I received a Master’s in Christian Education/Youth Ministry. (I bet you didn’t know you could get a Master’s in Youth Ministry.) Currently, I am starting my 10th year on staff with Youth for Christ leading Campus Life clubs.

God also blessed me by introducing me to my husband Russell (we met at the front entrance of Gateway) and we now have a very active and opinionated 2-year-old named Anna Marie. Last year, I had the opportunity to join the staff of Gateway to work with FUEL. I gladly accepted the position because I LOVE junior highers. It is my passion to see students and their families connected to Jesus and the church. Working with Gateway and Youth for Christ allows me to live out my passion. YEAH—go God!
