Senior Pastor
As Senior Pastor, my job is to cast the vision of the church (without a vision, the people perish) lead the staff, and be an example of Christ through pastoral care.

I was raised in San Diego, and of all the places in the world, this is my favorite place to live. I have been a pastor since 1982, and today have every bit as much joy and excitement for God’s work as ever. I count it both a privilege and a blessing to be used in His service.

One of the extra blessings is to be able to take mission teams all over the world to give others the love and hope of Jesus Christ. I have now been to India, Africa, Mexico, Jamaica, Peru, and Russia to spread God’s word. The redemption He brings should never be bottled up, but freely shared across the street and around the world.

In my spare time, I love on my wife and try to stay in shape through working out. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and a daughter. They bless my life and make me smile. One of my hobbies is football. The Chargers need a lot of help and I am a fan—thick or thin. Occasionally, I may even include an inspiring sports story in my message to illustrate a life lesson.
