As a San Diego native, I have grown up in a loving Christian home. I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior when I was 7 years old. Growing up singing and playing piano, organ, and keyboards in church have been an important part of my life.

I’ve studied piano since I was nine, taught piano over 25 years, and also studied the organ for 3 years. I’ve had the opportunity to play great pipe organs all over Europe.

Choral music is also one of my passions. Inspiring children, youth, and adults to sing praises to God is practice for eternity. I am a charter member of Gateway Church, willing to serve as God leads. I have a heart to see other people use their gifts for God.

Rick and I have been blessed with two daughters, Sarah and Anna--both of them are the joys of our lives! I praise God for my husband and children; spending time with them is my favorite thing to do!

I have a Master of Arts in Education (Reading) and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential (K-12) with a Supplementary Authorization in Music. I am a graduate of San Diego State University. I teach third grade for La Mesa/Spring Valley Schools. 20 little third graders keep my life full. My ministry with these children is sometimes difficult, but very rewarding. I make time for my hobbies which include reading, gardening, walking, and being with friends.

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3: 12-14
