Although not raised in a Christian home, I was exposed to God at a young age through various trips to different Sunday schools and churches. I chose to have a personal relationship with God the summer after my freshman year of high school while attending Pine Valley teen camp. It was there that I began to understand God’s perfect love for me, shown by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
God led me to Gateway Church during my senior year of high school. The strong community I found there led me to stay in San Diego for college. After graduating from West Hills High School, I began serving in the college group and teaching Sunday school. Recently, I have been excited to take on the role of website administrator for gatewaychurchonline.com.
I graduated from UCSD in 2007 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Photography. Since graduation, I have been working for UCSD at a research clinic that studies healthy aging.
I have been married for a little over a year now to the most genuine person I know, Caleb Jappe. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University this past May, majoring in Christian Ministries, and is currently attending San Diego State University in order to obtain a teaching credential. He also serves as the administrator for Gateway’s college group, Summit, and co-teaches a Sunday school preschool class with me.
God has been so good to us and I can’t wait to see where He takes Caleb, me, and the ministries He’s provided us with in the next few years.
