"Joshua said it first: ‘As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.’ As men of this church stand up for Jesus in their homes, lives will be changed forever. Gateway Men's Ministry helps to reinforce this truth to the leaders of this fellowship through Bible study, prayer and the sharpening of one another. My hope and prayer is that you will give this ministry a try, linking yourself to other men that are making a difference." --Pastor Mark Jappe
One of the most important reasons to have a men's ministry group is to make men's lives more productive, having meaning and purpose. Men represent a tremendous, greatly untapped resource to assist the church in changing and influencing our world for Christ.
A balanced men's ministry represents four biblical mandates:
Evangelizing men to salvation and church membership.
Establishing men to spiritual maturity.
Equipping men for ministry.
Extending men on mission.
Mission Statement
To make disciples of Jesus Christ by providing the teaching, resources, and opportunity for men to grow deeply in their spiritual walk. Equip men for Christian service at home, church, workplace and community. (Eph 4:12-13)
Vision
The vision for the Gateway Men’s Ministry is to offer opportunity for all men to participate in something that speaks to them and glorifies God and extends the gospel of Christ (I Cor. 9:22-23).
Goal
Our ministry goal is to encourage each man’s gift to surface, developing the Men’s Ministry into a visible spiritually healthy and mature arm of the church, an arm ready to respond as the Lord’s servant. (Eph. 4:7, 8ff)
